01 · WHY PEOPLE MOVE

Why Ohio buyers look at Tampa Bay

No state or municipal personal income tax. Florida does not impose a state personal income tax, and Florida cities and towns do not levy municipal income or RITA/CCA-style local wage taxes. Source: Florida Department of Revenue

The direct I-75 corridor to Florida’s west coast. Buyers from Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Akron, Canton, Dayton and Toledo have long followed I-75 straight into the Tampa Bay region—or flown nonstop into TPA and PIE.

Three counties, different feels. Compare downtown St. Petersburg near the Pinellas Gulf beaches, South Tampa near Bayshore Boulevard, and Gulf-access canal or inland communities in Pasco County.

From Lake Erie or inland lakes to tidal Gulf water. Tidal canals have daily high and low tides, fixed bridges and marine seawalls. Checking those details during your inspection window keeps your purchase straightforward.

03 · WATERFRONT HOMES

What to check on a waterfront home

Two homes on the same canal can be very different to own. These are the questions to answer before your inspection period ends.

Practical checklist only, not an inspection. Use licensed inspectors, marine contractors and surveyors, and confirm permits with the local building department.

04 · WHERE TO LOOK

Match the area to what you’re looking for

Start with what matters most to you, whether that is a boat behind the house on the Pasco coast, a walkable bayfront downtown in St. Petersburg, South Tampa, or an inland neighborhood along I-75 in Pasco County.

General area information only, not a listing search or a statement about any property or neighborhood. Gustavo helps buyers across Pasco, Pinellas and Hillsborough.
