01 · WHY PEOPLE MOVE

Why Californians look at Tampa Bay

No state personal income tax. Florida does not impose a personal income tax, so individuals have no Florida income tax return to file—a major difference from California’s graduated income tax structure. Source: Florida Department of Revenue

Warm Gulf water and private residential docks. Buyers moving from the San Francisco Bay Area, Silicon Valley, Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego often note that Tampa Bay offers single-family waterfront homes with private boat docks and lifts directly behind the house.

Three counties, different feels. Downtown St. Petersburg on Tampa Bay, peninsula neighborhoods in South Tampa, and Gulf-access canal homes and inland communities in Pasco County give you distinct coastal and suburban choices.

Coordinating across three time zones. Searching from Pacific Time is simpler when live video tours, afternoon showing blocks and electronic signatures are planned around your schedule.

03 · WATERFRONT HOMES

What to check on a waterfront home

Two homes on the same canal can be very different to own. These are the questions to answer before your inspection period ends.

04 · WHERE TO LOOK

Match the area to what you’re looking for

Whether you want a walkable arts-and-marina downtown in St. Petersburg, proximity to Tampa’s business districts and airport in South Tampa, or a private Gulf-access dock in Pasco County, compare the four core areas below.

General area information only, not a listing search or a statement about any property or neighborhood. Gustavo helps buyers across Pasco, Pinellas and Hillsborough.
